Far away was exhibited at Shepparton Art Festival 2022.
About:
I worked in Shepparton in 2021, I was travelling back and forth between Melbourne and Shepparton. The 3-hour travelling distance seemed so far away from my home.
The main object is the secret but everyday car park in Shepparton which started to be my muse: Whenever there, I would continue to have new creative ideas.
It's a seemingly uninspiring place, where most people walk by without a passing thought. However, I was drawn to it due to its wide visual field and skyline.
I have captured a range of pictures of this place at different times and chose to highlight the beautiful pink sky we are lucky to live under here in Shepparton. I was at home, and saw it from my window and ran to the car park to capture it.
